Astrology with Alethea:
Black New Moon in Aquarius
February 15th, 2018
Partial Solar Eclipse 12:53 pm PST
New Moons are a time of resetting, renewing, and realigning. During this time, it’s easy to delve deeper into life aspects of relationship, personal care and play, work and money. With no full moon in February, the power of this New Moon is amplified and referred to as a Black Moon. This Black Moon, the last occurring in 1999, amplifies the intentions set during the new moon phase.
This month, both the new moon and sun transit thru the Aquarian sign; aligning to form a Partial Solar Eclipse, visible from South American and Antarctica. Even though we here in Utah don’t observe this alignment, doesn’t indicate we don’t have the opportunity to work with this alignment. This partial alignment will block the sun from reaching the earth as the moon obstructs its path. In this time, regardless of where we are, our emotion is provided an opportunity to supersede our ego. This solar partial eclipse and potent new moon encourage each of us to access,
‘What may I do to cultivate positive growth?’,
‘What feels right to create the best life possible?’.
This week is all about persona growth, self-improvement, and fresh starts. We are each called to investigate our own needs, desires, and personal maintenance; and to invest in those discovered. When we care or ourselves, we are better able to care or those around us.
Aquarius is associated with the calf, ankles, shin, and Achilles tendon. This is a great time to work on any problems, chronic or acute, in these areas. If no work needs to be done, be careful of not injuring them.
